XEOMIN® is a highly purified neurotoxin. XEOMIN® approved by the FDA for the treatment of adults with moderate to severe frown lines between the eyebrows. Frown lines form when facial expressions are made as the muscle under the skin contracts. Over time, as your skin ages, these repeated expressions cause lasting frown lines. Neurotoxins, such as XEOMIN®, are prescription medications that block the release of chemicals that cause these muscle contractions. So frown lines are softened.

Am I A Candidate for XEOMIN®?
XEOMIN helps to decrease the look of dynamic wrinkles on your face, including frown lines between the eyebrows, horizontal lines on the forehead, Crow's feet in the outer corners of the eyes, and smile and laugh lines. XEOMIN is best if you are in good general health, not pregnant, and are not allergic to any other botulinum toxin products (BOTOX or Dysport). What Can I Expect With XEOMIN®?
You can leave our office almost immediately after your XEOMIN injections to resume your daily activities; however, exercise and other strenuous activities should be avoided until the next day. You may want to sleep in a slightly elevated position and apply cold compresses as needed to expedite recovery and results. For a few days after a XEOMIN injection, you may have some bruising, swelling, and redness at the injection areas, but this is no cause for concern and can be easily concealed with makeup. Many patients notice visible improvements 3 – 4 days after their XEOMIN injection, lasting up to three months. Repeat treatments at About Face & Body Medical Spa can be arranged to optimize your results.
How much does XEOMIN cost?
Your cost for a XEOMIN treatment will depend on the amount required to match your needs. In your initial consult, you will share your aesthetic goals so your treatment plan can be created, and then your cost can be estimated. About Face & Body Medical Spa accepts many forms of payment and sometimes holds specials on XEOMIN and other injectable treatments.
Should I get XEOMIN or BOTOX®?
BOTOX and XEOMIN are injectable wrinkle relaxers that use botulinum toxin. The experienced injectors at About Face & Body Medical Spa understand the differences between wrinkle relaxers, so they can determine which will deliver better results for each patient. In your consult, your injector will ask about your needs before deciding if XEOMIN or BOTOX is right for your goals.
Should I get XEOMIN or fillers?
Wrinkle relaxers, like XEOMIN, improve the appearance of dynamic facial wrinkles, particularly the glabellar or frown lines between your eyebrows. A wrinkle filler addresses static wrinkles and adds volume. Tell your injector about your needs/concerns and goals so they can decide if you need XEOMIN, a filler, or a combination of both.
Is XEOMIN safe?
XEOMIN has been approved by the FDA (Food and Drug Administration) as a cosmetic treatment, which can be safely used on most adults. In your consultation, your injector will ask many questions, like if you have any allergies, as well as all medications, herbs, and supplements you are taking. You need to be open and honest with your answers to avoid complications or side effects.
How often should I get XEOMIN injections?
Results from a XEOMIN treatment can last up to three months. Every patient will metabolize XEOMIN differently, which will determine how long their treatment lasts. In your initial consultation, your injector will talk about how soon you should schedule touch-up appointments.
