KYBELLA doesn't require general anesthesia, so you can leave our office when you are ready to resume your usual routine. You may notice temporary numbness, bruising, or swelling under your chin, although this should not last longer than a few days. Contact About Face & Body Medical Spa right away if you are experiencing any unusual symptoms, including facial muscle weakness, difficulty swallowing, or if your smile is uneven. While the fat cells that are eliminated do not return, the cells leftover can get larger, so you should maintain a stable weight after your KYBELLA treatments to keep new pockets of fat from developing. How much does KYBELLA cost?

How does KYBELLA work?
Deoxycholic acid, the active ingredient in KYBELLA, is designed to break down and destroy fat cells in the body. After the fat cells are eliminated, these fat cells cannot grow back. This is why more KYBELLA treatments shouldn't be necessary once you have finished.

Can KYBELLA be used to treat other areas of the body?
Right now, KYBELLA can only be used to treat the area below the chin. KYBELLA can effectively minimize the look of a double chin. KYBELLA has not been approved by the FDA (Food and Drug Administration) for any other areas of the face or body.

Am I eligible for a KYBELLA treatment?
